🗞️ Marine Gardens Bowling Club Monthly Report

Month Ending Friday, 31st October 2025

Although the bowling season has drawn to a close, our members continue to enjoy a lively and varied social calendar, thanks to the thoughtful planning of our resolute Social Secretary, Wendy Wilson.

This month’s highlight was a spirited evening at the Brighton and Hove Greyhound Stadium, where members were treated to thrilling races, excellent company, and a delicious meal — a winning combination all round.

We also saw the return of the President’s annual gathering, once again hosted at our familiar venue, Worthing Indoor Bowling Club. In a refreshing change, this year’s event took the form of a President’s Lunch rather than the traditional evening dinner — a thoughtful adjustment to suit those who prefer to avoid venturing out on dark, chilly nights. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with members enjoying a superb lunch, fine beverages, and most importantly, each other’s company.

Finally, we are delighted to announce the winner of our “Members’ Photograph of the Season,” as selected by our talented club photographer, Betty Stevenson. Congratulations to Jenny Ashman and Brian Saunders, whose VE-Day attire captured the spirit of celebration and camaraderie so beautifully.
