Welcome to A New Season

"May I offer all our members and supporters a very warm welcome to a new season of bowling at Marine Gardens

It gave me immense pleasure on Saturday to officially declare our new bowling season open!

It was wonderful to see so many familiar faces on our opening drive on Saturday, and a particularly warm welcome to all new members joining us. We are delighted to have you with us and hope you will soon feel right at home here at Marine Gardens.

The green looked fantastic and played extremely well. None of this happens by accident or chance, I would like to say a huge thank you to Bob for overseeing our greenskeepers and the watering team, to Jenny , Brian and Jill for carrying out the refurbishments to the club, the committee, and all the volunteers who have worked so hard over the winter months to get everything ready for us. We are incredibly lucky to have such a wonderful team and facilities.

Bowling is about many things: it is a sport of skill, precision, and concentration. But more than that, it is about friendship, community, and having fun. Whether you are here to compete seriously or just to enjoy a roll-up and a friendly chat, this club is for you.

I hope the coming season is filled with great competitive matches, ambitious personal standards, and, most importantly, plenty of laughter and good company. Let us hopefully, enjoy the weather, the bowling, and being together.
