2010 Bowls Tour - Bournemouth

After two successful and enjoyable tours to Torquay, this year we have decided to stay slightly closer to home with a tour to Bournemouth. 

The tour will run from Monday 20th to Friday 24th September, with luxury coach travel to the Ullswater Hotel (www.ullswater-hotel.co.uk) right in the heart of the town’s shopping centre and tourist attractions, and just a few minutes walk to the beach. 

This is a family run hotel specialising in accommodating bowls touring clubs.  Reviews from other touring clubs have praised the variety and quality of the menu. 

Fixtures have been arranged on the Tuesday at Southbourne Bowling Club, Wednesday at Poole Park Bowling Club, and Thursday at Knyveton Bowling Club.  Each of these clubs has ten rinks, which means that we shall all be playing at the same venues each day, which we hope will add to your overall enjoyment of the tour.

Unfortunately, none of the clubs we are visiting has their own website, but we are assured by the proprietor of the Ullswater Hotel, himself a bowler, that they are good quality opposition and welcome touring clubs.  

The cost of the tour will be £220.00 (including gratuities) with a small concession of £20.00 for members who wish to travel independently.  It is anticipated that only two 'cars' will be required. 

We shall shortly be requesting your room preferences, special dietary needs etc and whether you would like to play one, two or all three matches. 

In the meantime, enjoy the summer and save some of your best form for September.
