Marine Gardens Bowling Club, Captain’s FUN DAY – Sunday, 28th August 2022.
(August 28, 2022)Marine Gardens Bowling Club held their annual Captain’s Fun Day in aid of “SUPPORT UKRAINE” to help provide food, water, shelter and healthcare to refugees and displaced families.
Club members managed stalls providing tombola, book sales, Bric-a-Brac, home made cakes, spirit raffles, guess the weight of the cake and fun games on the bowling green.
The event was well supported by both the local public and club members to whom we owe our sincere thanks and congratulations to all who attended, for their help, support, and generosity.
The day started well with bright sunshine, unfortunately gathering black clouds appeared resulting in a heavy downpour of rain, bringing the event to an early closure, the local public disappeared, and club members took refuge in the clubhouse.
Despite the disappointing weather, it was a very enjoyable day, and we are pleased to report the Fun Day raised a total sum of £1,000.00.
